What makes a San Diego yacht rental different
San Diego Bay is calm, sheltered, and warm, ideal for yacht charters from early spring through late fall and genuinely enjoyable year-round. The bay sits between downtown San Diego and Coronado Island, giving you natural scenery, naval history, and city skyline all in the same frame.
Malarky is a 47-foot Voyage catamaran, twin hulls provide the kind of stability that makes even first-time sailors comfortable, and there’s genuine space to move around: a bow trampoline for lounging close to the water, a shaded aft deck for dining and toasting, and a modern indoor lounge with a mini fridge when you want air conditioning and shade.
Private, not shared
Every Malarky charter is fully private. You’re not on a party boat with other groups; the entire 47 feet belongs to you and your party. Bring your own music playlist, bring your own menu, set the pace you want. Your USCG-licensed captain and crew take care of the navigation; you take care of everything else.
Departures are from America’s Cup Harbor at Shelter Island. Park at 2700 Shelter Island Dr, walk the path between Intrepid Boat Works and San Diego Marine Exchange to the water, and meet us at the gate to our dock, look for the big Malarky sign above it.
Popular add-ons
Paddleboards, the 15-foot lily pad, kayaks, and tower pads are available to turn a bay cruise into a full day of water activities. These work best when you anchor in a calm spot, ask your captain about the best anchoring locations for the season.
